As the largest commercial finish contractor in the El Paso area and serving clients throughout the southwest through California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and West Texas, Diversified Interiors is committed to providing exceptional workmanship and high-quality customer service from start to finish.
With that commitment comes a great deal of responsibility to the many people who help drive home the idea of being exceptional and give deep meaning to being among the more than 400 highly-skilled employees of the DI Family.
Much of the DI Family responsibility to the employee comes in the form of providing lots of quality jobs to choose from as well as a safe environment to perform those jobs in so that every one of our employees can enjoy healthy leisure time with their families.
Besides all the rigid formalities of providing non-stop jobs and safe working environments for our employees to work in, we at DI take great pride in nurturing the human need to have fun and let loose. This is why every year we show our appreciation for the employees’ dedication by having a special DI Day to honor and serve them as they have served us and our clients throughout the year.
With this year’s DI Day coined “DI Fiesta 2019,” the day lived up to its name. For the second year and counting, DI reserved the entire University of Texas at El Paso Sun Bowl stadium for the festivities. With the stadium’s state of the art synthetic turf football field as the activities and seating area and the stadium bleachers, press box, Durham Center training facility, and the beautiful Franklin Mountains as the backdrop for the event, it was definitely a sight to see.
While the Diversified Interiors Management team worked as hosts, ushers, football referees, and just about anything else needed, the stage was set to entertain and celebrate the more than 400 employees and their families for the afternoon and into the early evening.
Family fun activities included an inflatable bull ride, rock climbing wall, tricycle race course, and bungee jump along the edge of one end of the field. The flag football and field goal competition took place at mid-field.
The second half of the stadium field was jam-packed with tables and chairs under a massive tent where employees, their families, and guests could just sit and relax or enjoy the great food and beverages served from either sideline, all while enjoying the upbeat sounds of music being played by a DJ.
Throughout the day, while everyone enjoyed the different activities and music, children and adults alike eagerly listened for their raffle ticket numbers to be called to collect one of the hundreds of prizes ranging from scooters to laptops and big screen LED TVs to a swimming pool.
After everyone was filled to the brim with food and beverage and completely tuckered out from the day’s activities, a few of the stadium lights came on and created a relaxing, cozy atmosphere to sit back and watch the Disney film Dumbo on the stadium’s jumbo video screen. What a way to wind down and close out the celebration.
With so much to offer our clients, we at DI not only look to nurture those professional relationships but also our very own DI family relationships.
Thank you to our employees and their families for giving great meaning to “It’s a great day to be a DI guy!”
